I got enchiladas here. It was okay. I was sad that it was salty. There's a lot on the menu and I want to try the place again before giving up on it. The people here are very friendly. The place is big and open. I like that they're open 'till late.

$5.95 for 5 tacos and a drink is a great deal. I've seen many other taco joints around Seattle selling a single taco for $2. Though it is far from the best taco I've had, the price definitely makes it a great spot for a very cheap meal.

Tacos carnitas are magical at this little Mexican oasis. The tortilla chips are a rip-off! They have spainish soap opera and what seems like the Mexican version of American band stand playing all day long on the TV which I think is great. The staff is friendly and the kitchen staff always have good bye... This place is right next to Chipotle and when I see all the fools in Chipotle eating overpriced garbage... I laugh as I bite into my $5.99 taco carintas plate. I want Los Amigos III or IV to open up near my neighborhood.

came here usually once a week. love the food. how ever this new girl we've ordered with the last few times has been a consistent pain. like last week we had asked for to go cups and she said she couldnt do that yet we've always gotten togo cups before. now tonight...we had asked for some extra sauce to go and she said that she didnt have yet id had seen some in the back fridge so instead she gave a a sandwhich bag with no zipper...which is now spilled all over the passenger seat car. so for now if we see her there will find somewhere else to eat. also the price changes every time we go. they dont put the prices on the actual menu.

Very good! The rice and shrimp is the BEST!!!!! It is a hole in the wall type of place even though it is part of a bigger chain.

tried going back to chipotle after eating here a few times and it tasted like fast food garbage. this is the real deal.

I've only tried their burritos, but they are worth a 4-star rating! The chicken was tender, well-flavored, and went well with their delicious beans. The tortilla was so-so. I appreciated the fact that they had a salsa bar, even though it didn't have too much to offer. Service was nice and fast, too. When considering whether to go here or Chiptole, which is across the street, for a burrito, the answer is a no-brainer. Come here! Not only are the burritos cheaper, in my opinion, they taste better.

I order take out from here every now and then and I must say there street carne asada tacos are delicious. I've only tried that so far but can't wait to try something else next visit.

Excellent Mexican food, authentic! Always good food, decent quantity and friendly clean facility. They also have a drive through.

Run of the mill taqueria. The drive-thru is convenient but I ended up dining inside. The food arrived quickly and I liked the salsa and condiments bar. The burrito was very average and wasn't filled with a lot of goods. The tacos were also mediocre. The meat seemed good but there wasn't much cilantro or other toppings. Meh.

Oh, why were the tacos so dry and over-salted? Their bus location in Puyallup has been my "taco craving" favorite for years, especially with the $5.99 five taco and drink special. But their tacos were fresh, moist, and seasoned enough to welcome the awesome green sauce. I can try this spot again, but I don't know if I was just unlucky on that visit. :/

Terrible place. I have been here 3 times now. I live right down the street on 336th Ave and I want so hard to like this place but they have screwed up my order 3 times now. First time I ordered some enchiladas and nachos but forgot to include my nachos. No biggie, it happens. Second I order nachos and I specifically order extra guacamole, and cheese. Not only was there not extra guacamole, they didn't include any at all, and they didn't include any cheese either. It was only beans, rice, and lettuce which I ate anyways cause I was hungry. Today was the 3rd and last time for a long time. There was only 1 other family in the restaurant and they already had their food. I ordered nachos with no meat, cheese, guacamole, and tomatoes. That's it, no beans, no rice, nothing else. The cashier gave the order to the cook who was like, "What??" They went back and forth, there seemed to be some miscommunication so the cook finally grabbed the order form which probably would have been a good idea right off the bat. I get my nachos and the first thing I see are beans. I'm thinking oh my god here we go again. There's a little cheese and some guacamole and tomatoes. What kind of mexican restaurant is this when you can't even serve up nachos right? 3 orders of nachos and 3 times they screwed it up. Now I know why this place is ranked below Taco Bell in Google's search. At least I know Taco Bell will get my order right. To the reviewer who said this is the best Mexican Restaurant in Federal Way, you are crazy. Puerto Vallarta on Enchanted Parkway is much better, their all you can eat lunch special is the best.

Worst experience ever! Found hair in the hot sauce.. And she didn't even care to ask which hot sauce. All she said was sorry. Then went back to talking on her cell phone. On top of that... The crispy fried pork meat on my taco.. Had leaves stuck to the meat. Never eating here again!

Worst Mexican food I've ever had! I'd rather eat Taco Bell next time. First red flag was the burger special advertised in the window. Why does a Mexican place serve burgers at all? The menu is JUST PICTURES AND NUMBERS with a short title! I had to ask what the prices were for EVERYTHING I was interested in! Then the girl who was taking my order let her son answer her ringing cell phone and interrupt me while I was placing my order. Second red flag - When my food came out I was brought a real metal butter knife and a PLASTIC fork. Meanwhile I see other customers eating with real forks. When I asked for something better than a flimsy plastic fork she said it would be a couple of minutes so she could wash one - at least be consistent... don't give me a real knife and a plastic fork! And finally to the food... My kids only took a couple of bites of their chicken quesadilla before they told me they just didn't like it. So I tried it and the chicken was dry and flour tortilla was rubbery and tough. My carne asada burrito was JUST carne asada in another rubbery, tough tortilla - no veggies or cheese of any kind, just greasy meat. There was a dollop of sour cream on top with 3 little shreds of lettuce. The beans and rice were a sloppy and tasteless joke, another thing my kids wouldn't touch!

They have this really good deal of soft tacos. Get 5 tacos for $5.49 that comes with a drink. I really liked their tacos. One little problem was their horchata tasted more rice milk, it wasn't somewhat sweet as I hope it to be. And they didn't have mild sauce, the green sauce that I usually use to eat it with. The taco was good itself though. The service was friendly. I could have given 4 stars, but they didn't have the sauce I was looking for.

This restaurant is small but they do have a drive thru. The menu has a good selection with pictures included. The gal behind the counter was very nice. The food came out quickly. They have a condiment bar with a variety of salsas, radishes, limes, etc. We ordered chicken tacos; the corn tortillas were soft and fresh but the meat was dry and salty. We also tried the tamale plate (beef and chicken), the chicken was bland but the beef was flavorful; rice and beans were just average. We may come back to try some of their other items.

4 stars for the food, 0 for the service. This is my third time eating here, and all 3 times the food has been good, but the service is just crap. I first got there and the lady was on the phone while customers were lined up waiting to order. She was just texting and wouldn't even look up. She took phone calls at least four times during my 40 minute wait on a bowl of soup and four tacos. The drive through had about 8 cars go through and everybody that ordered after me got their food looooong before me. I wonder if it's because I didn't tip?? But cmon, you tip for good service.. Not for sub par service where I have to wait for you to finish your phone conversation. So she hands me my tray of food and I politely told her that it was supposed to be to go. In her attempts to prove me wrong, she goes through the receipts to I guess double check that I did in fact say to go or to check if I was just being a pain in the ass. So she sets my food aside and then takes care of two customers who walked in and then two cars at the drive through window. By the time I finally got my food, my corn tortillas were hard as a rock from sitting there. It LITERALLY took 45 minutes to get my food.. I am shocked because it doesn't even take that long at a sit down restaurant!! I understand that it was busy inside the restaurant, but maybe if she got off her phone for five minutes she could get a few things accomplished. There's a reason that this place is called number 2.. Because that's what you'll get. Crap service!

On my visit I ordered the spicy pork nachos and the Carne Asada. Portions were massive, especially for the nachos. They gave me a whole avocado. The two entrees could have fed 3 easily. My meat was comparatively dry compared to other Mexican restaurants. However, I have high standards for Carne Asada and the overall balance of flavors with sauces was a good combination. I was satisfied. Get the nachos.

Delightful place for Mexican food. Likes: menudo and Pozole soups available! Awesome that they serve lengua(tongue), Cabeza (beef cheeks), and el pastor (spicy pork) as included other options for your tacos! Restaurant is cafeteria style. You order, staff delivers your meal, then you deposit your tray and dish at the rightful area when finished. We ordered the 5 tacos and drink for $6.99 deal with a order of the carne Asada dish. My tacos were lengua and my husband had the carnitas (fried pork). The salsa bar was filled to the brim with all types of sauces, vegetables (picked carrots being one type), and pico de gallos. I was pleased with their drink selections, and their horchata is the best "fast food" type I have had in a while. It's pretty cool to know that they also have drive through available on their side window.

Never in your life order a burrito. I say no cheese and they don't put it on top but inside. Say beef they give you chicken. Tacos are good but burritos are horrible.

5.99 for 5 tacos and a drink! What a great deal! I was in the neighborhood, and a friend suggested this place. I had, asada, chicken, carnitas, and beef lengua(definitely the best one!) and a glass of horchata. Pretty much your standard Mexican truck fare done right. The have a bar for salsas, pickled veg, radishes and you can grab as much as you desire! Not too greasy and definitely fresh! This place doesn't get as much love as I think it deserves!

SOOOOOoo, here's mah story. My sissy and my dear friend (who was waiting 20 minutes for us) ate at the nearby Chipotle. Twas delicious. But I still hungry. So I always wanted to try here and BOOM I got the carne asada plate for $5.99. 5 little greasy meaty tacos with onions, a little hot sauce, some radishes from the "wet bar" for some cleansing if you will. So yummy I ate them like Scooby-Do. Unfortunately with already one steak burrito + 4 tacos meshing in my stomach, I had to chunk the last one. This is a last for late night eats.

One of my favorite places in Federal Way for lunch or a quick dinner. Basically this is the same kind of food you get from a good taco truck but with dine-in seating and not on the side of the road. The 5 tacos special w/ soda for $5.99 is a deal! The other thing I love is the salsa bar. They have two kinds of salsa along with a wonderful green sauce and fresh pico de gallo. I've also had the Carne Asada and Burrito Plate, both very good and a great deal as well. Plenty of food for the money!! Why not five stars, well the food is not spectacular, but huge value! Only other negative is they have two TV's in the place that are always tuned into Mexican programming and are usually turned up pretty loud. If you can ignore that then you will be just fine.

This is a mildly beat up fast food joint with a fairly extensive menu of Mexican stuff. Lacking the nerve to go for menudo, I'm trying the pork tamales. Food's pretty cheap, though they do hit you 2 bucks for an order of chips. They were a little cold and stale, but the various dipping sauces and pico de gallos available are tasty, some quite hot. They have chilled radish slices, which I've never seen but find real refreshing. Food appears to be made to order, but then it's 5pm on a Saturday. I'm hitting that hot salsa pretty hard, and the sweat's starting to pour forth. Noms. Plate comes and it's huge for 6.50. Two tamales, rice, refritos and a hilarious lil pile of shredded lettuce with sour cream on it in the center. The tamales are fine - nice moist corn surrounding succulent shredded pork in the center. Tomato sauce with a ton of onion atop it. Not drowning in cheese, either. The rice and beans are very good as well. The lettuce is just sad. Overall, a satisfying and tasty meal. This is now my go-to joint for cheap Mexican eats in the neighborhood. Now I need a bunch of napkins and a nap.

Finally, visited Tawueria Los Amigos II after driving by many times over the past few years. Boy, have I been missing out. I have visited twice and both times had the tacos. Very tasty and a lot of food for the price. Like the salsa bar as well. It has become part of the regular rotation of places to visit when dining out.

Went for lunch and it was pretty good. Got the #1 special which is the 5 tacos and a drink for $5.99...can't complain about that. Had 3 carnitas tacos & 2 chicken tacos with the 2 of the different salsas they have in the restaurant. The restaurant itself may need some new seats, some had huge rips in them, other than that, it was clean and the staff friendly.

Horrible customer service. The cashier gave me attitude because I asked for a to Go cup instead of the plastic cup. She told me that those are only for to Go orders, the bosses orders. She did give me the cups, but was very rude about it. I asked politely and we were paying for drinks anyway, shouldn't matter what cup we want as long as we paid for the drink. Then when I called to complain the cashier wouldn't give me the manager's name so I can reach him when he was in. Will not be going here again.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
